Order a new Hygiene Passport with a new name

My name has changed, and I need a new Hygiene Passport with my new name. What should I do?

If you have your old Hygiene Passport with your previous name intact, ordering a new passport with your new name is as follows:

Step 1: Contact Hygieniapassi.fi Customer Service

The first step when dealing with a name change is to get in touch with our customer service. Our customer service representatives are ready to assist you and answer your questions!

Step 2: Place a Reorder through Our Online Store

Once you have contacted customer service and received the necessary instructions, you can place a reorder through our online store. Ordering a new hygiene certificate with your updated name costs 44 €. Make sure you have received the required instructions and permission before making the order.

Step 3: Submit the Necessary Documents

The next step is to submit the required documents to the address provided by our customer service. These documents are essential for verifying your name change. Ensure that you provide the following documents:

  1. Both parts of the hygiene passport (card and paper certificate) or the part you still have.
  2. A copy of the official certificate showing the change of name or date of birth. Submit it either as a printed version or electronically. The certificate can be:
    • a certificate or civil service certificate issued by the Police, the Local Register Office, the Population Register Centre or the paris
    • a certificate of personal data from the Suomi.fi service, showing the current and previous name or date of birth
    • your previous and new personal identity document

Step 4: Delivery of the New Hygiene Certificate

After you have submitted the necessary documents and placed a reorder, the hygiene passport tester will process your order and arrange for the delivery of your new hygiene certificate. Your new hygiene certificate will arrive within 4–6 weeks from the date of the reorder.

Have you lost your Hygiene Passport?

If you have lost both parts of your Hygiene Passport, and it has been less than 5 years since you took the hygiene certificate test: Contact the test organizer or the hygiene passport test instructor who conducted your original test and issued it to you. A reorder can only be made through the test organizer. If you took the hygiene certificate test through Hygienepassport.fi, please contact our customer service.

If you have lost both parts of your Hygiene Passport, and it has been more than 5 years since you took the Hygiene Passport test: The Hygiene Passport test must be retaken. You can find all of our upcoming tests here

I would prefer not to send information about my name change to your general email address. Is there any other alternative available for this?

Sending a copy of your name change certificate via email is possible, but if you don't have a printer at home, electronic submission may be more convenient. In that case, you can inform our customer service, and we will provide you with the email address of a specific staff member. This way, only that particular staff member and the test instructor ordering the new hygiene passport will handle your order and personal information."
