Hygiene Passport – Special Situation Tests and Tests in Different Languages

The special situation tests differ from the normal Hygiene Passport Tests by arrangements and time limit. Special situation tests are for those participants, who can't attend the normal Hygiene Passport Test in Finnish/Swedish/English with 45 minutes time limit. There is no time limit in special situation tests.

A special situation test is a good option for those who, for example, don't know enough of Finnish, Swedish or English languages, have dyslexia, visual impairment or hearing impairment, or are in need for assistance or extra time in the test. You have to have an arguable reason to get a special situation test with special arrangements. The test instructor will then evaluate the need for special arrangements and can arrange the Hygiene Passport Test with Finnish Food Authority's approval.

Special situation tests can be, for example, tests in other languages than Finnish/Swedish/English, a test where using a dictionary is allowed or a test where the instructor reads the claims aloud. Hygienepassport.fi arranges tests, for example, in English, Chinese, Thai, Arabic, Russian and Spanish languages.

All the special situation tests are arranged apart from the normal tests or tests with other special arrangements. For example, tests translated in Arabic and Chinese cannot be arranged at the same time.

Hygiene Passport Test Read Aloud

Hygiene Passport Test can be taken as a special situation test where the instructor reads the claims aloud and the testee marks the answers to an answering sheet. The test has no time limit. This special situation test can be arranged if the participant can't attend the normal Hygiene Passport Test.

Translated Hygiene Passport Test

Hygiene Passport Tests can be arranged by translating them to another language from Finnish, Swedish or English. Translated tests are good for those participants who's mother tongue is some other than Finnish, Swedish or English and they can't attend the normal Hygiene Passport Test.

In the translated test, the test claims are translated in writing to another language by an independent translator. In the test situation, the participant has the answering sheet in Finnish, Swedish or English and the translated test claims on another sheet. The participant marks the answers on the answering sheet.
